Refund Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all services provided by
Capital Construction Kent Ltd, registered in England and Wales.

1. General Policy

Due to the nature of construction and building services, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis in accordance with UK consumer law.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

2. Deposits

  • Deposits are required to secure bookings, labour, and materials

  • Deposits are non-refundable once:

    • Work has commenced, or

    • Materials have been ordered specifically for the project

This is because costs are incurred immediately upon project confirmation.

3. Cancellation by the Client

If the Client wishes to cancel the contract:

  • Before work has started:

    • A refund may be issued minus any costs already incurred

  • After work has started:

    • No refund will be provided for completed work or ordered materials

    • The Client remains liable for work completed up to the cancellation date

4. Statutory Cooling-Off Period (Consumers Only)

If the Client is a consumer (not a business) and the contract was agreed:

  • Online

  • By phone

  • Or off-premises

You may have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

If you request work to begin during this period:

  • You may lose your right to a full refund

  • You may be charged for work completed up to the cancellation date

5. Refunds for Unsatisfactory Work

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

If the work is found to be unsatisfactory:

  • We will be given the opportunity to rectify the issue

  • If this is not possible, a partial or full refund may be issued where appropriate

6. Delays and Unforeseen Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued for delays caused by:

  • Weather conditions

  • Material shortages

  • Variations requested by the Client

  • Events beyond our reasonable control

7. Cancellation by the Company

We reserve the right to cancel a contract due to unforeseen circumstances.

In such cases:

  • Any payments made for work not yet completed will be refunded

  • The Company shall not be liable for additional losses

8. How Refunds Are Issued

  • Refunds will be issued using the original payment method

  • Processing time is typically 5–10 working days
